  • Q:
    I don’t have a team. Can I go by myself?
    A:
    No, participation in the Olympiad is only possible as part of a national delegation with at least two members accompanied by a team leader who is at least 18 years old.
  • Q:
    How many people are there on a team? What is the age requirement for team members?
    A:
    A delegation consists of 2 to 5 participants, accompanied by 1 team leader and up to 2 observers. Participants must be school students between the ages of 14 and 18. Team leaders and observers must be at least 18 years old.

    Can I participate in the Olympiad online?
    A:
    No, all students must be present in person to participate in the Olympiad.
  • Q:
    What languages are used during the Olympiad?
    A:
    The working language of the Olympiad is English. The competition materials provided to participants are in English.
    Participants may use a glossary (list of terms) during all rounds of the Olympiad. Team leaders must prepare these dictionaries in advance, following the format recommended by the Academic Committee. Each glossary should contain 100−300 words and terms essential for completing tasks and documenting solutions.

    Who is responsible for covering travel, accommodation, and meal expenses?
    A:
    The sending party covers travel expenses for participants and team leaders.
    The Organizer provides accommodation and meals. Participants should bring cash (Russian rubles) for souvenirs and personal expenses. Observers must pay a fixed organizational fee of 85,000 RUB.
